There is so much to talk about in this realm of personal injury! This is something that was addressed in ancient times. We as a society, have intentionally forgotten how to care for and resolve these issues. We all have a little of this within our psyche. My teachings within this realm fall back to my heritage. So I tell you, my heart is afire for this affliction that seems to affect so many today.
With any trauma there can be soul loss. This is the key to me! When we encounter situations in real life/real time that are difficult for us emotionally, physically, psychically ie: violent assaults; warfare; sexual, emotional or physical abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), childhood traumas, traumatic relationship issues, divorce, and other more common experiences that have overwhelmed your ability to heal and move on, Our psyche flips a switch and goes into survival mode. In modern day, they call this disassociation. It is a trauma response. Symptoms can include hyper anxiety, hyperarousal, hypervigilance. The nervous system goes into overload and your body is flooded with a chemical response.
This is a normal physiological response of the body to trauma of different origins. If you are losing the ability to hear things around you, to know what is going on around you, it is a survival mechanism, a trauma response. We don’t discharge this energy, we lock up, we freeze and it creates a loop or cycle that continues to repeat until we can discharge it. Many times we feel a great void within that is unexplainable. So, this is an issue of many levels and until we can heal it on the physiological level we can’t escape.
Here is a list of trauma responses you may relate to:
- Hyperarousal/anxiety: Inability to deal with stress, overwhelm, nervous system on overdrive, extreme sensitivity. Your nervous system is flooded and you are not able to process the emotions of the shock/trauma.
- Constrictions/hypervigilance: Inability to see the big picture, you can focus only on the task at hand, it’s an emergency, all focused on survival, everything else around you disappears.
- Dissociation: Feeling like you are out of your body, forgetting, denial, because you are not able to process the overwhelming emotion, you leave your body. Fragmenting of system and psyche, disorientation.
- Freezing/Helplessness: You were powerless at the time of trauma, and you feel helpless and powerless now, like a deer caught in the headlights, you are unable to move.
At times, someone may make an erroneous, unconscious bargain to give a piece of their soul in exchange for what is perceived as necessary to their survival. It is important to understand that these decisions are not conscious thought. They often occur without a conceptual understanding of the bargain being made. Additionally, a person normally does not remember when a piece of their soul was taken or “lost.”
Until you are in a space that is spiritually and psychically safe, this part will not return. You have lost a piece of your soul. PTSD can be a soul loss issue! I have had phenomenal positive experiences facilitating healing in this realm. Please reference Soul Retrieval page and see if this resonates with you.
The accompanying emotional energy, triggered by physiological, psychological, emotional or spiritual trauma can at times manifest physically in the body. As the body heals, it can isolate or wall off, this energy into what is called an “energy cyst”. Although a body can initially adapt to the presence of this “energy cyst”, eventually the body weakens or tires of this accommodation and can develop symptoms of pain, dysfunction or emotional stress in response.
